Last week we reported David Wain and Ken Marino (Role Models, The State) were working on a script that Judd Apatow was going to produce. We also reported Paul Rudd was attached to star and the plan was to shoot the film this fall. A few new details have hit the net thanks to Variety as they’re reporting:
- the movie is called Wanderlust
- David Wain is going to direct
- Jennifer Aniston is attached to star alongside Paul Rudd
- Universal is producing
- Story centers on a couple who, after losing all of their money, take refuge at a commune.
- They want to film this September on the East Coast
- Wain, Marino and Rudd will produce
While Jennifer Aniston is usually box office poison (except for Marley & Me), I’m keeping my fingers crossed David Wain knows what he’s doing. As I said in my original post, while some of you might have missed out on Role Models, it’s a very funny comedy that’s definitely underrated. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
