Warner Bros. is bringing some synergy to its impressive CW superhero lineup next week by choosing the network to debut the first official trailer for Suicide Squad. We learned recently that the studio has slated Tuesday, January 19th as the debut date for the trailer, and it’ll be done within the context of a special airing on the CW that aims to give folks a preview of what to expect from the upcoming slate of Warner Bros. superhero films. Kevin Smith and DC Comics CCO Geoff Johns host DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League next week, which not only premieres the Suicide Squad trailer but also offers fans an early look at Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the in-production Wonder Woman.

The CW has now released two trailers for the special online, which tout the Suicide Squad trailer debut and overall DC celebration. The network promises interviews with folks like Zack Snyder and Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins, as well as Ben Affleck and other actors from the films, and I’m curious to see specifically what kind of footage we get from Wonder Woman. They’ll most likely just be showing off b-roll from the set, but I suppose it’s possible we could get a surprise teaser of some sorts for the actual film. Don’t expect any effects, though—the movie just started shooting a couple of months ago.

The big event is the Suicide Squad trailer debut, and I can’t wait to see what writer/director David Ayer has up his sleeve with this villain-centric superhero pic. We kind of know what we’re getting from Batman v Superman at this point, but Suicide Squad remains an utterly fascinating mystery.

Check out both promos below. The half-hour special DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League airs on The CW Tuesday, January 19th at 9:30/8:30c.
