Along with furthering the burgeoning romance between Wonder Woman and Superman, Ann Nocenti provides The New 52 continuity with the origin of the first meeting between Batman and Catwoman.  Also, Cecil Castellucci provides a solid tale of love lost with two of the recent surprise stars of the DCU: Aquaman and Mera.

Justice League, Vol. 2: The Villain’s Journey features the newly re-originated Justice League finishing out their first year facing their growing pains as a team.  The collection features a fresh take on the Justice League from Geoff Johns, excellently capturing the friction between the DCU’s heaviest hitters as they tackle their newest foe, Graves, a product of their own clash with Darkseid.  Johns’ provides not only a great storyline highlighting the growth and changes the League will be seeing in the upcoming year, but also supplies a fantastic banter between the Flash and Green Lantern, making this a great read while avoiding the snow this week.

I would love to see more comic news from Collider. I used to be way into them when i was a kid, the first comic I ever bought was the issue where Bane breaks everyone out of Arkham way back in the nineties, i was like twelve or something. With that in mind, i would love to see coverage of new artists and up coming great issues both major and independent, as well as features on young talent and a few article here and there on the greats like Neal Adams or some of the great old EC Horror comic book artists. In depth looks over multiple articles looking at larger issues like woman in comics, censorship or racism throughout the years (Does anyone remember the YELLOW FANG, ummm) in your own opinion would be cool if ya’ll were gonna go beyond just regular news. I used to be hella into comics but now I have lost touch, I would love for you dudes and dudettes to be the ones providing me with that. Can I get paid now?

Completely agree. It’s a great time for comics as well. With the new 52 with DC just finishing up ‘A Death in the Family’ and Marvel wrapping up ‘Avengers vs. X-Men’ both universes are in awesome places. Even if it’s just once a month to wrap up on where the world of comics is. Or even just news on where new Writers and Artists are landing/ new projects they are starting, comics news would be a great addition to Collider.
