Even when compared to the seemingly endless rev-up to this week's Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Tim Miller's hugely anticipated Deadpool has simply been slaying the competition, largely due to the untamable sense of humor of lead Ryan Reynolds and the character's wise-ass disposition. My favorite may still be the Halloween video that saw Reynolds, in character, attempting to recruit children dressed up as X-Men to join his team, but almost all of the material released thus far for the film has been ten times more inventive and attention grabbing than any other Marvel film on record. The latest, which announces a countdown to the release of a new trailer for Deadpool on Christmas Day, is no exception. You can check out the countdown video right below:

So, as you can see, each day will feature a brand new release from a series of places on the internet having to do with the upcoming film, all leading up to the new trailer's release on December 25th, giving you the perfect reason to ignore your family and loved ones for a few minutes. Most interesting is the inclusion of Deviant Art, the rather infamous website that features artwork that ranges from relatively cute and cuddly to the kind of stuff that would make the creators of Ninja Scroll blanch. We'll have to wait until later this week to see that that's all about, but it's good enough to know now that we'll have 12 full days of Deadpool news coming down the pike. Hopefully, the new material will focus as much on the titular anti-hero as Miller's supporting cast, including Homeland's Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein, Taylor Hickson, and newcomer Brianna Hildebrand as fan favorite Negasonic Teenage Warhead. For now, we'll just have to wait to see what Entertainment Weekly and the rest have in store for us fans.

And as a special bonus, we already have the first new tease from Entertainment Weekly, which is a brand new poster for the film. 20th Century Fox released the explicit poster for the film, which recalls the cover of The Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers for rather obvious reasons, if you're familiar with the classic record. Check out the poster below:

The countdown continues!  The world's most unconventional antihero, Deadpool, is jingling his bells and stroking his yule log on day three of #12DaysOfDeadpool with this spring-loaded, nut-punching battle plan.  And you'll only find this exclusive piece of content, in all its crayon-y glory, here on DeviantArt!   With the holiday season upon us, Deadpool pays homage to classic 'Home Alone' memories by answering the question, "What would happen if Deadpool was the one left to defend his house?"  Never one to miss out on giving a pounding, Deadpool puts a new spin on Kevin's plan by beefing up booby traps and sprinkling liberally with honey badgers.
