Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld is turning the tables on the Merc with a Mouth by inviting fans and Comic-Con attendees to hunt down the mad mercenary themselves. In order to celebrate the 24th anniversary of the character's creation - and to drum up added interest for the upcoming film starring Ryan Reynolds - Liefeld is bringing 24 sketches to the San Diego comic book convention that will reward treasure hunters who pay attention to the artist's social media clues.

As /Film reports, the sketches won't just be confined to the convention center itself, but will also appear in the historic Gas Lamp districts, local restaurants, and various parties that Liefeld himself will be attending. Here are the Deadpool creator's own words:

“I want to give something back to the tremendous fan following Deadpool has enjoyed since I introduced him in the pages of New Mutants #98!” Liefeld told me. “I’m also going to be utilizing clues through various web sites during the show to make it more interactive! Fans are encouraged to follow all my social media outlets on twitter, Instagram and periscope to get all the info surrounding the sketches and the times and clues surrounding their whereabouts.”

If you want a chance at scoring some of Liefeld's original artwork, be sure to follow him on Twitter and Instagram. Take a look at some of the Deadpool sketches from Liefeld below:
