After years of hoping, crossing fingers, and plenty of breath holding, production is now (almost impossibly) underway on a Deadpool movie. This isn’t some tiny-budget or off brand take on the character; 20th Century Fox finally pulled the trigger, and cameras are rolling as we speak on director Tim Miller’s proper adaptation of the popular Marvel Comics antihero.

Ryan Reynolds has been set to play the character for a long time now and his dream is finally being fulfilled. He’s been pretty open with fans on Twitter recently, sharing some sneak peeks from the set, but now he’s offered the biggest reveal of all: the Deadpool costume.

The costume isn’t entirely different from the one we saw in the proof-of-concept video that “leaked” online last year, which was created by Miller to show how Deadpool would work onscreen. That iteration of the Merc with a Mouth was seemingly produced via CG, but this new Deadpool image shows that Reynolds is indeed donning a physical costume for the film—with maybe a little help from CG in the eyeball department.

Check out the Deadpool costume image below, via Reynolds’ Twitter, followed by the film’s newly released official synopsis which reveals that this will indeed be an origin story focusing on Wade Wilson’s quest for revenge. The film also stars Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein, and Gina Carano. Deadpool is scheduled to hit theaters on February 12, 2016.

Here’s the official synopsis for Deadpool:

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
