Deadpool is for everyone, assuming you’re old enough to see an R-rated film. It has action, blood, drama, raunchy humor, and love. The merc with the mouth is feeling that last one pretty hard in the latest string of promotional posters, which make this superhero movie look like the next addition to the Nicholas Sparks cinematic universe.

“This Valentine’s Day, witness 50 Shades of Slay,” reads the latest tweet from the Deadpool film feed. Featured in its adjoining image, Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson gazes deeply into the eyes of his “best gal,” Vanessa Carlysle (played by Morena Baccarin). While 50 Shades of Grey dropped into theaters during last Valentine’s Day, this year Deadpool has the honor of being the top movie choice for lovers on the holiday. Elsewhere, Fox debuted another poster image during the Golden Globes on Sunday, showing the happy couple snuggling up while the caption read, “True Love Never Dies.”

I mean, they’re not lying. Deadpool does feature a love story for the ages. How many men do you know who would hunt down a group of villains, some of whom are mutants, after they transformed you into something T.J. Miller would dump all over and went after your girlfriend? My guess, not many because I certainly don’t know anyone who’s also undergone off-the-books superhuman experimental surgery.

But here’s to Fox, which is taking total advantage of Deadpool’s unique brand of humor by breaking the fourth wall of even the film’s trailers. It even launched a new TV spot during a recent episode of The Bachelor to try and convince that audience that hack ’n’ slash films featuring one of the most foulmouthed heroes in comics is worth a look. And for another little taste of what's to come, check out the latest TV spot for the film below:

Deadpool debuts in theaters February 12th and features a cast that includes Gina Carano, Ed Skrein, Brianna Hildebrand, and Leslie Uggams.
