Xbox unveiled its brand new game console earlier this week, and as part of the announcement, a new game from Bungie and Activision was teased.  The team behind Halo is launching a new franchise called Destiny, and a live-action trailer for the game has been released online.  In the world of the game, the hero is a Guardian of the last safe city on Earth following the arrival of “the Traveler.”  This live-action/CG trailer, directed by Jon Favreau, stars Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Revolution) as a Guardian of the City who is recalling an important life lesson he once learned.  The trailer essentially gives Favreau the chance to make the Star Wars film he never could, but I’m interested to see more from the game.

Hit the jump to watch the trailer. Gameplay from Destiny will be unveiled at the E3 press conference on June 10th.

Head over to Destiny’s official website for more info.

  • Excellent “journalism”

Nowhere do you mention Sony or the PS4, but Destiny’s first gameplay reveal will be during Sony’s E3 conference on June 10th. Not sure why/how you fit Xbox into this and not PlayStation. Interesting…
