Details on AMC Stubs Rewards Program; Plus How You Can Help Steve Win a Contest

Get details on the new AMC Stubs Rewards program from AMC theaters, which gives discounts and coupons to cardholders.

With AMC launching a new rewards program (AMC Stubs) to replace Movie Watcher, they've invited three movie "bloggers" (Mike Eisenberg of ScreenRant, Wilson Morales of BlackFilm, and me) to participate in a competition to visit the most AMC Theatres and see as many movies as possible from April 15 - May 6, 2011. While I have no idea how I'm going to find the time to do this, I'm going to try my best as the winner gets a 5-Year Movie Pass to AMC Theatres! Yes… 5 years of free movies! As someone who loves going to a theater to watch movies, needless to say, I'd love to win. Over the next three weeks, I'll post a few updates about how things have been going on Collider. While most of this contest falls on my shoulders, there is a way for some of you to help me win. With this promotion about the new AMC Stubs Card, if you have the card, you can vote for me. The one with the most votes get a huge number of points and it will definitely help one of us win. Details on how to help me out and what you should know about the Stubbs program after the jump.

Here's what you need to know about the Stubs programs at AMC: if you live near an AMC theater you want to get the card. What it does is collect every dollar you spend (either on concessions or tickets) and when you've spent $100, you get $10 in rewards back. It's basically like a 10% off card. In addition, you get free upgrades. So if you buy a small drink, with the card, they give you a medium. Same for popcorn.

Also, if you're someone that likes buying tickets online, if you use a Stubs card, you don't pay online ticketing fees at either MovieTickets.com or Fandango.

Obviously if you don't live near an AMC theater this is all meaningless info, but if you go to one on a regular basis, this is a no brainer. Sign up or get more info here: www.amcstubs.com

Keep in mind, the card costs $12. But that money is applied to the $100 you need for a reward. Again, if you go to the movies a lot, it's definitely worth it.
