20th Century Fox has released a new clip from A Good Day to Die Hard.  The fifth Die Hard film has John McClane (Bruce Willis) teaming up with his son Jack (Jai Courtney) in Moscow to right Russian baddies.  I’m still not sure what the plot is, but this clip shows that it’s still the same old John McClane when it comes to laughing in the face of danger before blowing danger’s head off.  The end of the clip is a bit of a missed opportunity since McClane tells his son they’re not going to die, and Jack should have responded, “But Dad! It’s a good day,” [looks directly into the camera] “TO DIE HARD.” [explosion]

Hit the jump to check out the clip.  The film also stars Sebastian Koch, Yulia Snigir, Cole Hauser, Amaury Nolasco, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Anne Vyalitsyna, and Mary Elizabeth WinsteadA Good Day to Die Hard opens February 14th.

  1. Something tells me a lot was cut out of that clip. Jack’s face is perfectly fine at the beginning but at the end it’s bloody.

  2. we watched jack reacher on the weekend with Jai Courtney as the sniper… and this trailer was on just before the movie.

  3. This movie looks like amateur trash just like the last Die Hard movie. FOX should have made the 24 movie instead and wouldn’t cost the studio over a hundred million dollars to make. FOX when are you going to wake up and realize that the 24 is movie franchise that has a huge fanbase worldwide and its ready to go just as soon you greenlight the movie.

    • Man, enough with the 24 movie already. It’s not like they can’t make both a 24 movie and a Die Hard movie. Somehow you’ve got it in your head one cancels the other…

Actually, I’d be perfectly happy if the 24 movie never went forward. It should be a TV movie, not one for the cineplex.

  4. im sorry but this looks awful, editor drunk or incopetent, probably both, useless and unfitting blue-filter, jai courtneys head is comical big in proportion to his other body parts and willis is only playing the same charahter in every movie since 2000. + generic story that iSENT dia hard. sorry ima not se ein theatre maybe rent but i wont out any money to the box office. john moore is a hack, damn u fox.

  5. This poor franchise. Just let it die soft, Willis. Don’t try harder. Lay it to rest with a vengeance. Live free and make different movies. Because it’s a good day to stop milking the moneymachine. …But in all seriousness, end it, because these movies are getting progressively worse.

  6. Okay everyone needs to calm down. Most hollywood clips are cut because the point is to give you a taste. This movie is going to be a straight action movie and its rated R. What else do you guys want? I bet you people are the ones who complained about Die Hard 2, a movie where nothing was wrong with it.
