Summit Entertainment has released the first pair of posters for director Neil Burger’s (Limitless) adaptation of the Veronica Roth novel Divergent, and they should make fans of the book pretty happy. The futuristic thriller takes place in a society where people are divided into factions based on their personalities. Tris (Shailene Woodley) is a young girl who doesn’t fit into any of the pre-assigned groups and faces grave consequences due to her status as a “Divergent.” These first posters show off the meaningful tattoos of Woodley’s Tris and Theo James’ Four, with the latter’s tats celebrating all five factions (Bravery, Selflessness, Honesty, Intelligence, and Peacefulness, in descending order).
Hit the jump to check out the two posters, and if you’re new to the world of Divergent I recommend you check out the latest featurette. The film also stars Miles Teller, Jai Courtney, Ashley Judd, Tony Goldwyn, Ray Stevenson, Zoe Kravitz, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Ansel Elgort, Christian Madsen, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Ben Lamb, and Amy Newbold. Divergent opens in traditional theaters and IMAX on March 21, 2014.
