A batch of funstuffs from writer/director Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming Django Unchained has landed online. Don Johnson appeared on The Tonight Show last night, where he debuted the first clip from Tarantino’s highly anticipated (that’s an understatement) Western. The clip is downright great, as we see Jamie Foxx’s Django and Christoph Waltz’s Colonel Shultz riding up to an estate owned by a very Colonel Sanders-esque Johnson. December 25th simply cannot get here soon enough.
Hit the jump to check out the clip, as well as a new TV spot and a couple of new images. The film also stars Kerry Washington, Leonard DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson, M.C. Gainey, Walton Goggins, Garrett Dillahunt, Dennis Christopher, Gerald McRaney, Laura Cayouette, and Tom Savini. Django Unchained opens on Christmas Day.
Via The Film Stage and The Playlist. The clip starts around the 4:03 mark.
Here’s the official synopsis for Django Unchained:
Set in the South two years before the Civil War, DJANGO UNCHAINED stars Academy Award(R)-winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award(R)-winner Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles–dead or alive.

Is it just me or would a slave not know that the “D” in Django is silent?
Christoph Waltz’s character is actually the one who decides to add a D when he writes down Django’s name, in the first scene.
yes, I believe he asks Django how to spell his name, and Django doesn’t know how. Under his own merit, Schultz asks if it has a silent “D” and then affirms his own inquiry by saying “yes, the silent D adds a bit of panache.”
it’s ridiculous at what extent they spoil movies today , i stopped watching and reading stuff of this movies month ago, yet, you post a telling picture of the movie in the site, could you please not do that? Yes even a shot of the character shooting screaming with blood on his face tells a lot. Post only already seen images as “covers” for articles ,please.
