There’s a little over three weeks left before Doctor Strange hits theaters, bringing on a whole new tonnage of written pieces on how great Marvel is or how awful Marvel is or what DC could learn from Marvel and vice versa. You can also expect a few annual, consistently ridiculous pieces on the death of cinema and superhero movies’ role in the perishing of the art form. More important that either, however, is the movie itself and the latest international trailer for Scott Derrickson‘s Marvel movie certainly amplifies the excitement to see how Benedict Cumberbatch takes to the role of the titular sorcerer.

The trailer does show a few new bits of footage, including moments with Tilda Swinton and Chiwetel Ejiofor, as well as Cumberbatch, that makes the action look even more intense than before. There’s also a lot of Inception-like world-bending that looks like it will look rapturous on a big screen. Wait, how long is it until November 4th again?

Here’s the international trailer for Doctor Strange:

Here’s the official synopsis for Doctor Strange:

From Marvel comes “Doctor Strange,” the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he is forced to look for healing, and hope, in an unlikely place—a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj. He quickly learns that this is not just a center for healing but also the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying our reality. Before long Strange—armed with newly acquired magical powers—is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence. Join Strange on his dangerous, mystifying, and totally mind-bending journey when Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” opens in U.S. theaters on November 4, 2016.
