Three times the Doctors should mean thrice the fun, right? According to THR, a five-part storyline this summer by Titan Comics will bring together the Tenth, Eleventh, and Twelfth Doctors. Paul Cornell, a long-time Doctor Who scribe, will write the series. That's good news for fans, since in addition to working on the Doctor Who TV show, Cornell has also written for the comic spin-offs before. Synergy.

The combo story will take the place of the typically separate series Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor, Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor, and (you guessed it) Doctor Who: The Twelfth Doctor. The weekly series will run from August through September, although what the exact storylines will entail and who the lead artist will be are so far remaining mysteries.

As far as things in the Whovian universe go, the super popular Tenth (played by David Tennant) and Eleventh (Matt Smith) Doctors have met as of the 50th Anniversary Special. So far, though, neither have met Peter Capaldi's Twelfth Doctor, so this will seemingly be the first introduction. (I wish they would bring the Ninth Doctor, Christopher Eccleston, back! Though I know he doesn't want to -- at least, as of the 50th Anniversary Special).

When it comes to possible companions, THR reports that,

According to Titan, the companions in the crossover event will be drawn from the current comic book series for each Doctor, meaning comic book originals Gabriella Gonzalez and Alice Obiefune in addition to the Twelfth Doctor's current traveling partner Clara Oswald.

The comic crossover will launch August 12th, before the Doctor Who Comics Day on August 15th.
