Fox Searchlight has released a new trailer for Richard Sheperd’s Dom Hemingway.  The film stars Jude Law and revolves around the titular character being released from prison and going to get the hush money he’s owed.  I saw the film at TIFF, thought it was painfully funny, and I can’t wait to see it again.  I would caution against watching this trailer in order to avoid spoiling the jokes, but this trailer is pretty misleading.  It emphasizes the softer, more uplifting aspects of the story, and while that’s a part of the film, it’s almost an afterthought.  It’s there to provide a character arc.  The meat of the picture is Dom being unhinged, offensive, and swearing up a storm.  But this is a green-band trailer, so it’s tougher to sell that stuff.

Hit the jump to check out the trailer.  The film also stars Richard E. Grant, Demian Bichir, Emilia Clarke, Kerry Condon, Jumayn Hunter, Madalina Ghenea, and Nathan Stewart-JarrettDom Hemingway opens April 4th.

Here's the official synopsis for Dom Hemingway:

Jude Law plays DOM HEMINGWAY, a larger-than-life safecracker with a loose fuse who is funny, profane, and dangerous. After twelve years in prison, he sets off with his partner in crime Dickie (Richard E. Grant) looking to collect what he's owed for keeping his mouth shut and protecting his boss Mr. Fontaine (Demian Bichir). After a near death experience, Dom tries to re-connect with his estranged daughter (Emilia Clarke), but is soon drawn back into the only world he knows, looking to settle the ultimate debt.
