Dominic Monaghan Exclusive Video Interview – I SELL THE DEAD

     January 26, 2009

Opening this year’s Slamdance Film Festival was writer/director Glenn McQuaid’s “I Sell The Dead”. The film is about some 18th century grave robbers named Arthur Blake and Willie Grimes and they’re played by Dominic Monaghan and Larry Fessenden. Here’s the synopsis:

With the specter of the guillotine looming over him, young Blake confides in visiting clergyman Father Duffy (Ron Perlman), recounting fifteen years of adventure in the resurrection trade. His tale leads from humble beginnings as a young boy stealing trinkets from corpses, to a partnership with seasoned ghoul Willie Grimes as they hunt creatures unwilling to accept their place in the ground. The colorful and peculiar history of Grimes and Blake is one filled with adventure, horror, and vicious rivalries that threaten to put all involved in the very graves they’re trying to pilfer.

Anyway, while I was in Park City last week, I managed to get some time with Dominic Monaghan. During our interview, Dominic talked about why he wanted to make the movie, when he was offered the project, working with Ron Perlman, his experience at Slamdance, and of course I try to get some info on “Lost” and “Wolverine”….

If you’re a fan of Dominic’s, I think you’ll like the interview. Finally, if you’d like to see the trailer or some clips from “I Sell The Dead”, click here.

Note: This interview might take a few moments to start due to the file size. Please be patient.
