Collider is hosting a screening of Dredd 3D on Thursday, September 13, and I am excited to announce that it will take place in my backyard, Boston.  I saw Dredd at Comic-Con, and it is audaciously violent and chock full of one-liners capably tossed off by Karl Urban (the ultimate man) as Judge Dredd.  As of this writing, Dredd sits at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes after 19 reviews (not counting Matt’s take).  So if you are an action fan in the Boston area, take notice and hit the jump to find out how to win tickets.

karl-urban-dredd-3dWe have 10 pairs of tickets (20 tickets total) to give away for the screening located in Boston on September 13.  To enter, email colliderboston@gmail.com with your name and address and include DREDD Screening in the headline.  This giveaway will be open until _____ and is only open to residents of the United States.  Also, only one entry per person.  Once the giveaway ends, we’ll look over the entries and randomly pick out the winners, who will be guaranteed seats as long as they show up 15 minutes before the screening.  It never hurts to mention why you think you deserve to win…

For more information on Dredd, click here for all our coverage or check out the tongue-in-cheek viral site Dredd Report.  Here’s the official synopsis:

The future America is an irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, running from Boston to Washington DC, lies Mega City One–a vast, violent metropolis where criminals rule the chaotic streets. The only force of order lies with the urban cops called “Judges” who possess the combined powers of judge, jury and instant executioner. Known and feared throughout the city, Dredd (Karl Urban) is the ultimate Judge, challenged with ridding the city of its latest scourge–a dangerous drug epidemic that has users of “Slo-Mo” experiencing reality at a fraction of its normal speed.
