Our first look at a Lawmaster bike in Pete Travis’ (Vantage Point) Dredd is now available online.  Coming all the way from the film’s South African set, the image features a fully-attired Judge riding a noticeably less “Chopper-like” model than was featured in Sly Stallone’s 1995 iteration.  Briefly, for those unfamiliar, Dredd is set on the futuristic streets of Mega City One and tells the story of Judge Joseph Dredd, an elite Street Judge who has the authority to play the role of judge, jury, and executioner if duty calls.

To check out the bike for yourself, hit the jump.  Dredd stars Karl Urban as Judge Joe Dredd, Lena Headey as villain Mama Dredd, and Olivia Thirlby as Judge Cassandra Anderson.  For all of our previous Dredd coverage, click here.

Here’s the synopsis for Dredd:

DREDD takes us to the wild streets of Mega City One, the lone oasis of quasi-civilization on Cursed Earth. Judge Dredd (Karl Urban) is the most feared of elite Street Judges, with the power to enforce the law, sentence offenders and execute them on the spot – if necessary. The endlessly inventive mind of writer Alex Garland and the frenetic vision of director Peter Travis bring DREDD to life as a futuristic neo-noir action film that returns the celebrated character to the dark, visceral incarnation from John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra’s revered comic strip.

I’m a Huuuuuge Judge Dredd comics fan, I have been praying for a remake of the film since Slys horrid version.

    BUT,

So far, this film looks nothing like what i was praying to see! I am seriously dissapointed in every image ive seen on this. Judge Dredd didnt need the Nolan approach, it just needed a better script and better casting. The visuals in the Sly version almost nailed it. This version seems completely absent of any of it.

OK, the story and acting may turn out better here, but that doesnt mean get rid of the visuals and FX! And its the wrong actor too! Makes me wonder if they even tried to find someone with the Dredd credentials.

Still, i am at the very least intrigued.

Yep, that bike looks pret-tay pret-tay pret-tay bad. Pret-tay bad. (In a bad way) (bad meaning the opposite of good.)

I wanted the big eyes that are in the more popular Spider-Man comics.

I agree looks pretty hokey, im hoping this is the version before they spice it up with cgi. I mean cmon batman has a better dredd bike than dredd what gives.

Bastards, they fucked it. They fucking fucked it up. The bike was the easy part and they fucked it. More Harley less shitty scooter you fucks. I can’t believe they fucked it so bad.

I just saw this film in REAL 3D and must say i’m immpressed i loved the comics and the 80′s stalone film, but time has moved on since then and we like more realistic gritty approaches and this certainly lives up to its expectations. The only dissapointment was they didnt stretch out this film longer than 90 minutes. Other than that superb ! p.s: The bikes look and sound awesome in the film, so good i want to own one myself ^^
