We here at Collider have spent several thousand words telling you how much we love Drive, ever since that fateful Comic-Con screening in July.  As of this writing, Drive has earned a respectable $43 million worldwide.  That means there are a few billion people (give or take) who haven’t seen it.  Yet what the fandom lacks in breadth, it makes up for in depth.  Many of the devoted are creative folk, skilled in the ways of Photoshop.  The movie’s official Facebook page has done a great job rounding up the work of the best and brightest, and assembled a gallery of fan-created posters.  The results are pretty cool; check some of the best posters after the jump.

I picked out 10 of my favorites to included below.  The full gallery, 42 images strong, can be viewed here.

Official synopsis:

Driver is a Los Angeles wheelman for hire, stunt driving for movie productions by day and steering getaway vehicles for armed heists by night. Though a loner by nature, Driver can’t help falling in love with his beautiful neighbor Irene, a vulnerable young mother dragged into a dangerous underworld by the return of her ex-convict husband Standard. After a heist intended to pay off Standard’s protection money spins unpredictably out of control, Driver finds himself driving defense for the girl he loves, tailgated by a syndicate of deadly serious criminals. But when he realizes that the gangsters are after more than the bag of cash in his trunk – that they’re coming straight for Irene and her son – Driver is forced to shift gears and go on offense.

Great posters, all are very interesting. I really like the second and the third. Drive was an amazing movie. My favorite from what I’ve seen so far this year.

People avoided the movie because, as with most of these internet-loved films, the hype became so overwhelmingly obsessive that it simply turned regular people off.

I know websites like this, AICN, and others think you’re doing these movies a favor by splooging all over them with unfettered, uncritical love and over-hyped obsession, but in reality you’re actually hurting their chances at success. They never live up to the near-perfection they become associated with, and frankly, internet fandom has seldom been able to translate into anything other than curiosity.

So Drive is just the latest in a long line of nerd-centric movies that were pretty good, yet became repulsive due to their connection to the strange people online. Drive, Scott Pilgrim, Kick-Ass, Attack the Block, etc. etc. The list goes on, and will, as long as you guys continue to essentially become their marketing champions, and not their proper critics, leveraging expectations.

I get what your’e saying and I partially agree, but please explain to me how drive was nerd-centric? Are you simply trying to say that nerds like it?

One of the best movies I have seen in a long time!
Haunting, elegant and with amazing performances by Albert Brooks, Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan and all the supporting cast. One of those movies that will become a classic – and no I don’t belong to any movie website!

O-ver-ver-ver-rated! This movie was absolutely overrated. Too little dialogue to be interesting(the worst part), Ryan Gosling played a really annoying character (super creepy too; say something dude), and the movie was over-saturated with mediocre music. Half of it was a music video/montage for crying out loud. Let’s not forget the sudden bursts of violence. Already been done, and done better. A History of Violence for example. Of course, this is just my opinion :)

Dude I’m with you, it’s totally overrated! That Ryan Gosling smirk (at least 60% of his screen time) was killing me…the movie was okay, max good, but I definitely don’t see the masterpiece in it.

But those posters are awesome! I guess there’ll never be a chance to purchase one…

Great movie – not the usual fast cars, hot chick stuff.
    Subtle, sophisticated and smart.

Is there a way to buy any of these posters?
