Tink Speaks for the First Time Ever In An All-New CG-Animated Movie!

On DVD and Blu-ray with Exclusive Bonus Features

Not since Greta Garbo made her talking film debut has the sound of a voice been so wildly anticipated! For the first time ever, one of Disney’s most beloved and classic characters will speak in Tinker Bell, a brand-new, original film coming to DVD and Blu-ray disc on October 28, 2008.

Produced by DisneyToon Studios, Tinker Bell opens the doors to the amazing, enchanting world of Pixie Hollow, home to the gorgeous and glittering Disney Fairies. With some of Hollywood’s most talented actors lending their voices to the cast, Tinker Bell is sure to delight fans of the world’s most famous fairy.

In this film, we learn of Tinker Bell’s origin: How she’s born, how she comes to Pixie Hollow and how she finds her new friends. We also learn that every fairy is born with a special talent, whether it’s making flowers grow, giving fireflies their light or tracing beautiful patterns into a winter morning’s frost. Peter Pan’s beloved sidekick discovers her talent is tinkering, and thus is given her name – Tinker Bell! As it turns out, Tinker Bell has arrived at a really important time in Pixie Hollow. The fairies are preparing to bring Spring to the mainland. The mainland is where us humans live. The more Tink hears about how fantastic the mainland will be, the more she looks forward to going…until she learns that tinkers don’t get to go to the mainland- their job is to fix things for the other fairies in Pixie Hollow.

Deciding that being a tinker fairy isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, stubborn Tink begs her new friends Rosetta, Silvermist, Fawn and Iridessa to teach her their talents so she can join them, but her misguided attempts to switch her talent lead to disaster, destroying the other fairies’ preparations for Spring! Tink is ready to leave Pixie Hollow in disgrace when she learns that the key to solving her problems lies in her unique tinker abilities…and discovers that when she’s true to herself, magical things can happen. Exclusive DVD bonus features include a set top game, a behind-the-scenes “making of” featurette and more. The Blu-ray contains all the bonus the DVD has plus an interactive feature that takes viewers deep inside the mysterious world of Pixie Hollow.
