Written by Steve 'Frosty' Weintraub

While I love giving stuff away on the site, it’s always a lot more fun when the items are awesome. And that’s what we have right now…a big cup of awesome.

That’s because the good folks at Warner Home Video have given me 10 Blu-ray copies of the Watchmen Motion Comic and 3 Blu-ray copies of Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter & Under the Hood to giveaway to some lucky readers. Since I want to spread it around…I’ll have 13 winners for this contest!

So you’re probably wondering how you can get one of these free Blu-rays. Here’s what you need to do.

Email thecollidermailbox@gmail.com

In the headline say WATCHMEN Blu-ray Giveaway

In the body of the email please provide the answers to the 3 questions plus your mailing address. If you win, you’ll get an email and I’ll send out the Blu-ray as soon as they come in.

Finally, this contest ends Saturday, March 14th at noon Pacific Time.

So here are the three questions (all answers are on Collider) and further down are images and info on what you can win. Of course this contest wouldn’t be possible without the PR firms that make it happen. So a big thanks to them!

Question 1 – What movie is Watchmen director Zack Snyder making next?

Question 2 – How long did director Zack Snyder say his director’s cut will be for Watchmen when it hits DVD? There are two answers I will accept.

Question 3 – What day is Watchmen getting released in theaters in the United States?

And with that....good luck...here's what you can win.

Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter & Under the Hood – 3 Copies

They’re in the book. And on this disc. From the director of Watchmen and 300 come two tales from the celebrated graphic novel that do not appear in the extraordinary Watchmen Theatrical Feature. Tales of the Black Freighter (featuring the voice of 300s Gerard Butler) brings to strikingly animated life the novels richly layered story-within-a-story, a daring pirate saga whose turbulent events may mirror those in the Watchmen’s world. Stars from the Watchmen movie team in the amazing live-action/CGI Under the Hood, based on Nite Owls powerful first-hand account of how the hooded adventurers came into existence. Two fan-essential stories. One place to watch the excitement. Watching the Watchmen begins here.

Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic – 10 Copies

Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic takes viewers through the critically acclaimed DC Comics and Hugo award-winning graphic novel “Watchmen” by Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons. Set in 1985 at the height of the cold war between the United States and the Soviet Union, costumed avengers have been banned with the exception of two – The Comedian and Rorschach. During this time the mysterious murder of a United States government official named Edward Blake occurs in New York, possibly by Soviet Communists. It is later confirmed that Blake is actually a costumed avenger – The Comedian. The news of the murder is discovered by his fellow costumed avenger, Rorschach, who sets out to discover the murderer.

During his search viewers discover whether Rorschach is really insane or if he's uncovered a plot to murder super-heroes and, even worse, millions of innocent civilians. On the run from the law, Rorschach reunites with his former teammates in a desperate attempt to save the world and their lives. But what they uncover will shock them to their very core and change the face of the planet. Following two generations of masked superheroes from the close of World War II to the icy shadow of the Cold War comes this groundbreaking comic story — the story of The Watchmen.

Blu-ray Disc:

  • 12 original chapters
  • Enhanced Content:
  • Wonder Woman: The Amazon Princess
  • Watchmen Theatrical Video Journal with Dave Gibbons
  • BD-live: Exclusive first look at the Watchmen theatrical film with a specially selected action-packed scene.
