While Easy Money’s title wasn’t reflected in the domestic box office for its U.S. release, the crime actioner’s sequel is still on its way.  While it’s already premiered outside the U.S. as Snabba Cash II, the retitled Easy Money: Hard to Kill features Joel Kinnaman (The Killing) returning in the lead role of JW.  The sequel finds JW on leave from prison only to fall back into his criminal ways.   A new U.S. trailer and poster is now available for the Babak Najafi film, available on demand and in theaters starting February 14th.  That weekend will prove to be a double dose of Kinnaman on screen, as his RoboCop reboot also opens.  Hit the jump for more.

Watch the domestic trailer for Easy Money: Hard to Kill below (via The Playlist):

Synopsis:

JW (Joel Kinnaman, Robocop, The Killing), the promising business student who became an organized coke smuggler in Easy Money, is serving hard time in prison and struggling to get back on an honest path. There are glimmers of hope in his life: some venture capitalists are interested in a new piece of trading software he’s developed, and while behind bars he’s made peace with an old enemy.

This all proves to be an illusion. On leave from prison, and back in contact with his former gang, JW learns that once you’ve walked in the shoes of a criminal there just may be no going back.
