Here’s a blind item for you: which “major A-list movie star” and his “Oscar-winning former co-star” might latch on to the following logline:
“An overly-committed Secret Service agent who is assigned to guard the country’s worst former president, a bumbling sleaze. It’s a mundane and boring job — until there’s a threat made on the ex-president’s life, forcing the duo to go on the run together.”
-
According to TheWrap, a notable unnamed talent is hooked by El Presidente based on a spec script from Dan Goor, who has written for Conan O’Brien, The Daily Show, and Parks and Recreation. Warner Bros. has picked up the film, and is now recruiting one of said actor’s acclaimed colleagues to co-star. I’m stumped, but if it helps, the last film of the Oscar winner in question was likewise housed at Warner Bros. I will say this: Morgan Freeman, last seen in WB’s Invictus, would make a fine shoddy ex-president.
