Ellie-Kemper-Wendi-McLendon-Covey-Interview-BRIDESMAIDS-slice

With director Paul Feig’s (Freaks And Geeks) awesome movie Bridesmaids opening this weekend, I recently interviewed the cast for our partners at Omelete.  Starring Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Matt Lucas, Chris O’Dowd, Melissa McCarthy and Jon Hamm, Bridesmaids is ridiculously funny and one of the best films I’ve seen this year.  In addition, there’s a scene in Bridesmaids that’s one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a movie theater.  You really want to see it. For some clips, click here.

During my interview with Kemper and McLendon-Covey we talked about how many takes they ruined from laughing, the wedding dress scene, how the trailer has a lot of jokes/scenes that are not in the movie, what do they have coming up, karaoke and video games.  Hit the jump to watch.

Dude. I really like your site and I think you always get good stuff from the interviews but you gotta understand nobody wants to see or hear the interviewer in these things. It’s really annoying. Also the wacky questions and that actually just served to put the interviewee’s on the spot in a way that made them feel uncomfortable. You made that first question seem like a test that they both got nervous about getting wrong which is the wrong approach. All us geeks go “cool!” anyway. But it started the interview on the wrong foot and as a result they didn’t really open up to you.

Not sure if you were trying to make that funny, but your not an actor so it just comes off as bad interviewing. Sorry. I love your stuff though. Keep it up. Just don’t let ego get in the way.

If you’re gonna dedicate any time to the interviewer, the interviewer should be a celebrity too.
