The first set photos from Neill Blomkamp's Elysium have gone online and they could potentially be spoiler-ific (that's why I've minimized the image above).  There's not much we know about the film so it's tough to know the context of these photos.  All we know about the film is that it takes place on an alien planet 100 years in the future.  Jodie Foster plays the head of the planet, and Wagner Moura (Elite Squad) is the villain.  Matt Damon is starring in the sci-fi flick and all I'll say about these photos is that it looks like his character is in a bad way.  I won't say any more than that for people who want to avoid spoilers.  There are also some set photos of a mansion but I don't think it's too much of a spoiler to tell you there's a mansion in the movie.

Now comes the fun part: speculation!  It looks like Blomkamp hasn't fully let go of the man-melding to technology visuals that was the centerpiece of District 9.  Of course, there doesn't seem to be as much of a phantasmagorical edge to these photos as it looks more like Damon is just outfitted with some cool future technology.  As for the mansion, your guess is as good as mine.  It is worth noting that at this point (and obviously it's still under construction), mansions one hundred years from now look a lot like mansions of the present day.
