The first trailer for writer-director Shana Feste’s Endless Love is now available.  The remake of the 1981 original, Endless Love stars Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike) and Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers) as two teenagers in love who are kept apart by their parents.  While the trailer paints a tragic-yet-sexy romance in the vein of a Nicholas Sparks’ movie, the source novel for the original film was written by Scott Spencer.  It remains to be seen just how close this new iteration sticks to the book, but for fans of Fifty Shades of Grey who are dismayed at the film’s recent casting troublesEndless Love looks like it could be a temporary balm.

Also starring Robert Patrick, Bruce Greenwood, Rhys Wakefield, Dayo Okeniyi, Emma Rigby and Joley Richardson, Endless Love opens in theaters February 14, 2014.  Hit the jump to watch the trailer.
