Like Simon Pegg and David Schwimmer?

While there is no official word as to Big Nothing hitting theaters in the United States, if you live over in the United Kingdom, you can see it in late November. But with a cast consisting of David Schwimmer, Simon Pegg and Alice Eve, and since the film takes place in Oregon, I would expect some company to pick it up and distribute it.

Also based on an early review, which you can read here, the film seems like it is going to be a fun little ride. Here is a small clip from the review.

Shot with a panoply of skewed angles and three-way split screens by cinematographer Richard Greatrex, Big Nothing has a stylised look to match its quirky performances. Tense, cruel and hilariously absurd all at once, it may, as its title suggests, not add up to so very much, but it is a deliciously entertaining journey into the night which, at under 90 minutes, never overstays its welcome.

While I am written many times about Simon Pegg, I have never had the chance to mention David Schwimmer on the site. While he is going to be known as Ross for the rest of his life, I think David is a really underrated actor. While he has not had the roles to really show off his stuff, there is no way Friends would have worked for so long if you didn’t believe in the actors and their portrayals of those quirky neurotic people. Also did anyone see his work on last season’s Curb Your Enthusiasm? He was great opposite Larry David while preparing for The Producers.

Finally if you missed my interview with Simon Pegg you can click here and read/listen to it. During the interview he talked about Big Nothing calling it “a really funny little blackmail kind of comedy thriller.”

So what are you waiting for? Go to the Pathe.co.uk website and watch the trailer for Big Nothing. When you get to the front page click coming soon and then on the right click Big Nothing. Make sure you listen to Simon’s accent.
