Dreamworks a Prime Mover at Comic Con

Though Robert Orci and Alex Kurtzman are still hard at work slapping together a workable Transformers screenplay for director Michael Bay, Dreamworks has decided there’s no harm in stoking geek enthusiasm for their Summer 2007 tentpole, and, therefore, has parked a full-sized eighteen wheeler smack dab in the middle of the main San Diego Comic Con showroom, replete with a called-shot release adorning its promotional tarp kinda like so:

For those wondering if the involvement of noted vulgarian Michael Bay means that this will be a full-fledged PG-13 envisioning or rougher, the director has repeatedly stated that this will be his “family film”.  Steven Spielberg will serve as Executive Producer on the film, while Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto and Don Murphy are all on board as Co-Executive Producers.

Dreamworks will also be launching the official website this weekend (http://www.transformers.com).  If this were the 80’s, Roger Corman would be rushing a Go-Bots movie into production as we speak, and you would be thrilled to the core of your being.
