AICN is reporting that that Jeffrey Wells is reporting that Empire is reporting that Terrence Malick's new movie, "The Tree of Life" will have dinosaurs.  While the fountain of encyclopedic knowledge that is Clarence Beaks recalls that Malick originally wanted to do a movie with dinosaurs thirty years ago, my only question is what was the hold up?  Why dick around with World War II and the discovery of America when you could have DINOSAURS?  Priorities, Malick.  Priorities.

And what if you could have those dinosaurs in IMAX?  Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves.  Beaks makes the good point that there's no room at the end of the year for "Tree of Life" because if it wants to take on James Cameron's "Avatar" for those sweet, sweet IMAX screens, it will lose.  It will lose big.  Ultimately, I think that means that we probably won't be seeing "Tree of Life" till 2010 which must be frustrating to Malick because he's a guy that likes to get his films out there as soon as possible.  It's just that his definition of "soon" is somewhat longer than others.
