John Landis may not be directing "The Wolf Man", but it looks like he's hopped on board a pretty interesting biopic with "Ghoulishly Yours, William M. Gaines". For those that don't want to just hop quickly to Wikipedia, Gaines was the publisher of EC Comics and later Mad magazine. Back before movies and videogames corrupted today's youth, it was comic books and Gaines was the man who went to the U.S. Senate and defended the medium.
In an age where we still deal with this ridiculous, "Won't somebody think of the children?" bullshit pandering, "Ghoulishly Yours" can be a great commentary on today's limits of free-speech and parental responsibility while still providing a fascinating historical perspective on the growth and decline of the comics industry through one of its influential figures. With the right casting, this could definitely be Landis' resurrection in Hollywood.
