On Saturday morning I attended a special Director’s Guild breakfast in Hollywood. Now before you go thinking I was actually invited to have food with the five nominees for this year’s Director’s Guild Award….I wasn’t! What I was invited to do was stand on the red carpet and interview who ever wanted to talk to me after the breakfast ended.
And even though most of the director’s avoided answering any questions (click here to see the five of them on the red carpet), I want to give a big thank you to Ron Howard for agreeing to talk with me after posing for a lot of pictures.
While time was very limited, I did manages to talk about what being nominated meant to him, we covered making "Frost/Nixon", and of course I brought up “Angels and Demons” and what can fans of the book expect.
It’s a solid interview so take a look:
Ron Howard
- What does it mean to him to be nominated by the Director’s Guild for Frost/Nixon
- What was the most challenging part of making Frost/Nixon
- Was Frost/Nixon a hard sell to the studio
- What was the most challenging part of making Angels and Demons
- When they were making Angels and Demons, the Church took away some filming locations. How did he deal with it.
- How close is Angels and Demons to the book
- What does he have coming up
