It may look like all of Seth Rogen's physical training may go to waste as Drew McWeeny over at HitFix is reporting that "The Green Hornet" may be dead. The film was already having some trouble with Stephen Chow dropping out as the director and then waffling on whether or not to still play Kato. Now, according to McWeeny, the word around Sundance is that the film is off completely. Speaking with a source close to the film, McWeeny reports that while the film isn't all-dead, it is mostly dead with it being "highly unlikely" the film will shoot in 2009 at all.
This is all kind of a bummer but it's also Hollywood. As Drew points out, if the film can't get made with so much talent actively involved, then it probably will never happen, or at least not happen anytime in the near future. While there's still hope for resurrection, the whole situation looks bleak for this long-gestating adaptation.
