Cate Blanchett May Be Made Marion

After Sienna Miller was booted from Sir Ridley Scott's upcoming "Nottingham" for being "too slim and too youthful"*, the search was on for a new Maid Marion.  That search may have come to a close as Mark Strong (who is playing Sir Guy of Gisbourne) told The Telegraph that he thinks Cate Blanchett is up to get the part.

Wow.  Talk about trading up.  Yes, Miller may be "slimmer" (although Blanchett looked awfully lithe in "Benjamin Button" and "Indiana Jones") and younger, but Blanchett could act Miller off the planet (and as you can see, she ain't too bad on the eyes herself).  Now you've got a movie starring Russell Crowe (playing dual roles), Cate Blanchett, and Mark Strong, all directed by Ridley Scott?  I know "Body of Lies" didn't come together like it should have, but you can't count out a great line-up.

Click here to get a pink slip for being too awesome.

*What a great reason to lose a job.  I think everyone would love to be fired under those reasons (in this economy, employers take note!)—"Sorry, Matt.  We'd love you keep you on in accounts receivable, but you're just too handsome."  "Well, I can't argue with that."
