Sonnenfeld is trying to kill the good will he garnered from me by directing BenDavid Grabinski's "The How-To Guide for Saving the World" which just sounds great (click here to read that story). Now he's directing and producing an English-language remake (I hate those three words) of the Korean film "Scandal Makers".
The film centers on "a philandering pop singer whose life is turned upside-down when he discovers that he has a daughter and a grandson." I love Sonnenfeld's soundbyte on choosing to take the project: "I was immediately attracted to 'Scandal Makers' because of its universal themes," Yeah, who can't relate to this story.
Meanwhile, I hope they keep the title so I can keep making "Arrested Development" jokes and wondering if they'll cast Analrapist Tobias Funke. Hopefully Sonnenfeld's film will have better narration.
