So how does Sacha Baron Cohen do it? How does he manage to trick so many people not just with the immensely successful "Borat" but once again with his upcoming film "Bruno"? Well, he has a very skilled team of producers and those producers set up websites and companies that exist only on paper and on the digital realm known as the "Internet". The Smoking Gun has uncovered these fake companies even though they have now been "wiped" from the Internet (as if such a thing were possible).
According to TSG: As TSG reported last week, Cohen & Co. set up four firms--Amesbury Chase Productions, Chromium Films, Cold Stream Productions, and Coral Blue Productions--and launched nearly identical web sites for the companies. In recent months, unwitting interview subjects have been asked to participate in a documentary for German television that was supposedly being prepared by a Los Angeles production company. To assure these rubes, Cohen's assistants have pointed to company web sites touting the firm's "world class facilities, and state-of-the art equipment." In fact, Cohen's companies exist on paper alone, and their shared address is a box at a Sunset Boulevard mailbox rental firm.
However, Cohen still has at least 27 other phony corporations he can hide behind. While this kind of behavior is despicable for those who try to hide money from the government or from millionaires who desperately want to become billionaires, Cohen has used it for the purpose of laughter (although it's still a little unsettling).
