If you’ve been reading Collider this past week, you know I was just in Las Vegas for ShoWest 2009. If you haven’t heard of ShoWest, it’s a convention for theater owners and operators to see what’s new in their industry and be wined and dined by the Hollywood Studios.

Basically, it’s Comic-Con for the people that make big decisions in the movie industry.

Anyway, since Peter (from Slashfilm) was also there, we decided to record a video blog on the final night to recap what we saw at the convention.

Since the blog ran pretty long, we broke it up into two parts. Also, if you’re curious what some of the other online folks look and sound like, the last 5 minutes of part two features George (El Guapo) from Latino Review, Alex from First Showing, Ed from Coming Soon, and Katey from Cinemablend.

Finally, here are some of the films and footage we talked about:

·         The Hurt Locker,

·         Warner Bros. – Sherlock Holmes, Harry Potter, The Hangover and Terminator Salvation

·         Disney – Tron 2 3-D footage, Beauty and the Beast in 3-D, A Christmas Carol, Alice in Wonderland

·         The Proposal

·         Sony – District 9, Men in Black 3, Spider-Man 4, Ghostbusters 3, The Ugly Truth, Julie and Julia, Angeles and Demons, The Year One

·         G.I. Joe

·         Whatever Works – new Woody Allen movie

Finally, both Peter and I are on Twitter. To follow me click here, and click here to follow Peter.
