Maybe because it's late and I don't give a shit but my first thought when I saw this official image of the "Wolf Pack" from "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" [via USA Today] was "Hey, Menudo's making a comeback." But no, it's just, as Mickey Mouse on "South Park" put it, "Make little girls' ginnies tingle." Yes, as tween girls come to grips with their sexuality, they now have a picture of idealized masculinity to place on their walls as these mocha gentlemen show off their rippled abs and make the rest of us men feel self-conscious. Doesn't Summit know there is a double-standard in place to prevent this kind of thing?
For those that don't know (or care about) the story of "New Moon", the Wolf Pack—Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Bronson Pelletier, all with Native American heritage — join Taylor Lautner, 17, who returns as a hairier, scarier Jacob Black. The plotline finds Jacob growing closer to a distraught Bella (Kristen Stewart) after her vampire beau, Edward (Robert Pattinson), runs off. Presumbably to the gym after seeing these guys and their unattainable physiques.
