Denzel Washington is in negotiations to star in another Tony Scott movie.  According to Variety the actor will star in the drama “Unstoppable” which Scott is set to start shooting this fall.  The director has previously worked with Washington at least five times (most recently on “The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3”) so chances are pretty good that “Unstoppable” is going to be in Washington’s future – especially considering that “Matarese Circle” seems to be stuck in Tom Cruise development hell for now.

“Unstoppable” is said to be loosely based on the following true event: an experienced engineer jumps on a locomotive with a young conductor to stop a runaway train that is loaded with toxic chemicals.  The true event in question?  I have no idea, but I have a feeling Jack Bauer was involved somehow…
