As the year winds to a close, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" remains high on my must-see list of 2008. A new David Fincher film demands that kind of attention. The fascinating premise and talented leads don't hurt either. However, the buzz on the film has been mixed.
Early audiences weren't receptive to preview footage but now other sites are hailing it as a serious awards contender. I hope Group B is right because when Fincher succeeds, he usually comes out with an unforgettable flick.
Below you can check out a slew of images from the film as well as the deceptively creative new posters. Usually, giant heads don't do anything for me (except for Easter Island--I love you guys) but I do like what they did with the text on Pitt's poster.

For those just tuning in, here's a brief synopsis:
"I was born under unusual circumstances." And so begins "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man's life can be.
"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" hits theatres on December 25th.
