Ahead of tomorrow’s trailer debut, Universal Pictures has released a couple of new images from director Baltasar Kormakur’s (2 Guns) upcoming survival drama Everest. Based on true events that occurred in 1996, the film follows a cluster of summiters who got waylaid at the top of Mount Everest to disastrous results: eight climbers lost their lives. If the story sounds familiar, it’s also the basis for author Jon Krakauer’s best-seller Into Thin Air.

Kormakur shot the pic in Nepal and the Italian Alps, and as you can see in these new images, the actors didn’t have to work hard to fake the chilly conditions. Jason Clarke stars as climbing guide Rob Hall, while Josh Brolin plays his client. The impressive ensemble also includes Jake Gyllenhaal, John Hawkes, Robin Wright, Sam Worthington, Emily Watson, and Keira Knightley.

Check out the new images below, via People, and check back tomorrow to watch the first trailer. The film opens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on September 18th.
