With Evil Dead and Carrie, Sony Pictures has got some big horror remakes on deck for spring 2013, and attendees at this year's New York Comic-Con are going to get the first look at both pictures.  On Saturday, October 13th, the Evil Dead panel will feature director Fede Alvarez, star Jane Levy (Suburagtory), and Ash himself, Bruce Campbell (who's on board as a producer).  That panel will then be followed by Carrie, with director Kimberly Peirce and stars Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore in attendance.

In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up long-dormant demons that possess each of those friends in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival. Appearing in person: Producer (as well as the original Ash himself) Bruce Campbell, star Jane Levy (TV's Suburgatory) and director Fede Alvarez.

Culver City, CA (September 18, 2012) – Sony Pictures will debut exclusive first looks at the highly anticipated upcoming films Carrie and Evil Dead at New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 13th from the Javits Center.

The panel presentations for Carrie and Evil Dead will take place between 3:45pm-4:45pm on October 13th.  The Carrie panel will include the film’s stars, Chloë Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore, along with producer Kevin Misher and director Kimberly Peirce.  Evil Dead’s panel will include the film’s star, Jane Levy (“Suburgatory”), producer (and star of original) Bruce Campbell and director, Fede Alvarez.
