We’ve got a couple of quick news stories for you this afternoon. First up, Bruce Campbell has tweeted that Fede Alvarez‘ remake of Evil Dead has taken up The Heat‘s vacated April 5th date, which means it will be going up against Jurassic Park 3D at the box office. So who would win a fight: deadites or dinosaurs? [Answer: Dinosaurs. Dinosaurs always win unless they're faced with their natural enemy, Meteors.] Evil Dead, which originally had an NC-17 rating, will premiere at the 2013 SXSW Film Festival.
In other news, The Playlist reports that A Good Day to Die Hard will be by far the shortest Die Hard yet with a runtime of 97 minutes. For comparison, Die Hard is 131 minutes, Die Hard 2 is 124 minutes, Die Hard with a Vengeance is 131 minutes, and Live Free or Die Hard is 128 minutes. So Die Hard 1 and 3 are the best in the series and they both run 131 minutes. Coincidence? Yes.
Coïncidence, no. Both are directed by a true action pact genius, Mr John McTiernan . Voilà!
GOLDBERG fails at with again. To bad he’s wasn’t sitting at a computer when typing this article up, otherwise he could of just imdb that shit and been like ‘oh, look, information to make my words sounds smart.’ but instead he took the high ground. Kudos, MR. GOLDBERG.

That is interesting that it’s barely over 90 minutes. 1 and 3 are the only ones that matter in my book. Loved Jeremy Irons in the 3rd.
What’s wrong with ‘Die Hard 2′ then? I know it gets a lot of hate, don’t know why, it’s a spectacular action film with a great script and some knockout ass-kickin’… unfortunately, the same I fear will not be said about this new one, but what did you expect with Skip Woods writing and John Moore directing; a recipe for crushing mediocrity if ever there was one!
They should have kept the original ending to ‘Die Hard with a Vengeance’ and ended it there…
First it looked horrible, then there was a silver lining when it got hit with the R rating, and now it’s right back to being a horrible, unnecessary-looking 5th installment. Damnit Bruce!
Damnit. And I was hoping for JP3D to have the weekend to itself. Anyway, my first line of business will easily be JP3D. Been waiting for this for a very long time. Then EVIL DEAD, soon after.
Damn why is everyone so hard on Goldberg
LMAO
96 minutes??
I can sense that this film was rushed and underdeveloped. Remember when Quantum of Solace was one of the shortest Bond films? It sucked hard.
Sadly, stylus59 sounds right. Seriously, 97 minutes for a Die Hard film? Have we finally reached straight-to-DVD Die Hard…?
My fingers are still crossed that it’s a fun watch and after Die Hard 4, my expectations are pretty freakn low.
It may not have reached the giddy heights of the magnificent ‘Casino Royale’ but to say that ‘Quantum of Solace’ just sucks is a little simplistic and not accurate at all… granted, there was problems with the script before shooting began, but the final result is a pretty good Bond film that was very different, both aesthetically and thematically, than any before it, it served as a nice little extended coda to ‘Casino Royale’ and I firmly believe it will be reappraised for the positive in the near future.
If you liked Quantum of Solace, cool dude. Each to their own of course and Craig is great as usual. But for me, QoS is the lazily scripted, terribly shot and edited and gives me nothing on repeat viewing except frustration. I know the writer’s strike and a short post period affected the film, but still… this is JAMES BOND!
Should of chose Aaron Paul.
