I think "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" is going to surprise a lot of you this weekend. That's because the movie is just flat out fun. If you go in wanting to have a good time and can channel your inner kid, you're going to have a blast watching director Stephen Sommer's newest movie. If I was ten year's old, I think "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" would be the greatest movie ever. As it stands, I'm far older than that, but I still think the movie is fantastic.

Anyway, a few days ago I attended the New York City press junket for "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra". While there I got to speak with director Stephen Sommers, producer Lorenzo de Bonaventura, and a few of the cast. The interview after the jump is with Channing Tatum and Marlon Wayans. During our interview we talked about the lack of Public Service Announcements (PSA's), the online buzz, the worldwide tour they've been on, and the toilet's of Japan. I'm not kidding about that last part. Take a look:

Channing Tatum and Marlon Wayans

  • I mention how much I liked the movie and how I'd seen it twice
  • We talk about the buzz that's been online
  • Where are the PSA's?
  • What's the best part of doing a worldwide publicity tour
  • Marlon talks about the toilets of Japan. Trust me, it's very funny stuff.

And here's a classic PSA in case you've never seen one:
