Channing Tatum G.I. Joe premiere.jpg

As you may have already noticed by the abundance of video interviews on Collider, last night I covered a special “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” screening at Mann’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood. While there, I landed tons of video interviews with the cast and producers of the movie. Since I already talked to Channing Tatum about “G.I. Joe” on more than one occasion, I decided to use my time to talk about other projects. So after the jump you can hear Channing talk about his next film “Dear John” and the project he’s about to start…a Roman Empire film called “The Eagle of the Ninth”. If you haven’t heard about that one yet, it’s going to be directed by Kevin Macdonald (“The Last King of Scotland”, “State of Play”). What I’m trying to say is…it’s a film you should be excited for. Watch the interview after the jump:

Channing Tatum

  • How important is it for him to pick other projects besides action
  • DEAR JOHN talk – his next film
  • Rachel Nichols shows up
  • THE EAGLE OF THE NINTH talk – it’s a Roman Empire film. Kevin Macdonald is directing.
  • Says it takes place in 122 A.D. and talks about his character

Ahaha, I like how the title of his romance film is called “Dear John” and you wrote “Dead John” instead. By the way Steve you were right about G.I. Joe, it was actually fun.

ah…need to fix that. thanks. and glad you agreed with me about Joe

Steve can you please point out to Xerxes how insane he is acting. His statements make no sense. Also did my comment come off as rude pointing out that you wrote Dead John instead of Dear John?!? I just found it to be a funny typo since its a romance movie.

Wha?!? How was I making fun of Steve? I just joked about it, it was just a funny little spelling error. I mean don’t you see the irony, DEAD JOHN instead of DEAR JOHN. I just got a kick out of that when I read it. No need to make a really bizare and baffling jerk statement.

How was I attacking Steve?!?!?! I even said in my post that I agreed with him on G.I. Joe! I thought that kind of set a tone that the previous statement was just a little joking around. Also your mixing up a character with a real person, if it said DEAD CHANNING then that would be odd, but instead he wrote DEAD JOHN who is a FICTIONAL character. Fictional! Your comment was definitely not fantastic, you were just being a prick for no reason. Minor spelling errors are a common thing on movie sites, it happens all the time, its an honest small mistake.

“Steve’s “DEAD JOHN” typo wasn’t funny, as Channing Tatum is alive and well. Don’t believe me? Look it up here .”

John is FICTIONAL and yes Tatum is alive and well obviously. I never said he wrote Dead Channing, I pointed out that he wrote Dead John. Can you read? Can you compute statements? Why do you get offended by DEAD JOHN if its someone who doesn’t even exist? Grow up. Also your Heath Ledger comment is beyond unneeded and quite rude.

Xerxes= A pyschopathic moron who is being a jerk for no reason. Your statements make no sense and JoJo wasn’t being rude at all. Something tells me even Steve finds it funny that he wrote DEAD JOHN instead of DEAR JOHN for a love movie.
