Fan-Made Trailer for EXPENDABLES 2 is Not Approved for People Who Hate America and Fun

     May 23, 2012

Do you love America?  Do you love guns, explosions, muscles, action, tanks, explosions, violence, fighting and explosions?  If you do, then you’re a lot like me, pal.  And we’ve got mutual friends in The Monocular Group, who have put this awesome fan trailer together for The Expendables 2.  They’re also here to remind us that long before a bunch of gussied-up prima donnas assembled to fight evil, there were men to handle our problems: big, strong men with powerful guns and boots on the ground.  In a summer dominated by superhero fare, let us not forget the men that built the foundation of the action movie.  These men include Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Chuck Norris, Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jet Li, Randy Couture and Terry Crews. The Expendables 2 also stars Liam Hemsworth, who has something to prove, and Scott Adkins, who should feel right at home with this crew.  The movie opens this August 17th in America, the Land of Guns and Awesome.  Hit the jump to check out the trailer.

Check out the awesome fan-made trailer for The Expendables 2 below:

Wasn’t that great?!  If it looks familiar, it’s because the same group made a trailer for the first Expendables imploring men to come out in droves to support the film (which opened against Eat, Pray, Love).  You can check that trailer out below:

These trailers make me want to load up my .40 cals and march down to the theater wearing nothing but an American flag to demand The Expendables 2 be shown early!*  Here’s the official synopsis for The Expendables 2.

The Expendables are back and this time it’s personal… Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) — with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard — are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way….

*I’m clearly kidding and don’t recommend any combination of firearms, nudity and threats…unless they’re in The Expendables 2. America! Fuck yeah!

all these guys would not have a chance against Mad Dog

Yeah, we need more great Americans in movies. Americans like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jet Li, and Liam Hemsworth!

Either one of them would be happy enough to pour an old fashioned cup of melting pot soup down your pants.

I get it, cause they’re not americans.

I’m curious if Dave was kidding about the .40s. I’m a .45 man myself. Glad to see people at Collider like their firearms.

I’m definitely a supporter of Second Amendment rights here in the States. Unfortunately, I don’t yet have any handguns myself, but I do have a nice Savage O/U 30-30 / 20ga that does the trick!

It’s not being said enough that Commando was a great movie

    • Elitist Prick

‘Commando’ is among the great accomplishments of Western Civilization. I’m proud to be from a country that made such a thing happen.

Soo…ahhh…does anyone know if the first Expendables movie beat out Eat, Pray, Suck opening weekend?

    • Dewan

Yes it squashed Eat, Pray, Suck’s nads… Expendables $34.8 million and Eat, Pray, Suck $23.1 million!!

See Expendables 2… it’s gonna be better than the first with bigger booms and Chuck Effing Norris… And if that ain’t American what is!
