Technology—yeah, it’s got some advantages. For instance, if you follow “Scott Pilgrim” author Bryan Lee O’Malley via his Twitter page, then you would find a link he threw up today to a Craigslist page detailing the casting call for extras for the upcoming “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” directed by Edgar Wright and starring Michael Cera (one of those people is pictured right).
The listing puts out a call for young folks of any ethnicity ages 18 to 27 (up to age 29 if you have a “youthful look”) who can pull off the “Indie Rock Look” which means “slim, skinny builds with interesting faces and looks”. The listing also says that shooting on the film will begin the first week of April.
So here’s a link to the ad so you can try and be an extra for “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” (break a leg!) and here’s a link to Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Twitter page. Oh, and his newest book “Scott Pilgrim vs. The Universe” hits shelves tomorrow (unless you ordered from Amazon in which case it hits the back of a truck tomorrow).
