The teaser trailer for writer/director Nacho Vigalondo’s Extraterrestrial has gone online. The alien-invasion film serves as Vigalondo’s follow-up to the well-regarded 2007 film Timecrimes. The trailer is in Spanish, so it may be a bit confusing who don’t speak the language, but it still looks decidedly creepy. I like that Vigalondo seems to be telling the story solely from the point of view of two characters, and I have a feeling everything is not as straighforward as it looks. Hit the jump to check out trailer yourself.

Here’s the trailer:

Here’s a brief synopsis for Extraterrestre [IMDb]:

Everyone knows what to do if one morning the sky would be absolutely full of UFOs: run as fast as you can. However, what would happen if the invasion started while you are in the flat of the girl of your dreams, the one you have just met?

I posted a translation of the teaser trailer in FirstShowing. I leave you with it:

    I’m spanish so…here’s the translation:

Credits: If you wake up in the perfect place. Next to the perfect girl.

Guy: I’m gonna get dressed, ok?
Girl: Ok. Listen, sorry…(points to him, like asking for his name).
    Guy: Julio.
    Girl: Oh, I’m Julia.
Guy: Oh, what a coincidence. I don’t know why but I thought your name was Luisa. Anyway, after yesterday, as if I was gonna remember anything…
Girl: Listen, aren’t you worried about someone?

Credits: But you feel like a stranger.
Girl: Sorry But I need to (…) a person.
Guy: There’s nobody on the streets, even if it is Sunday?
    Credits: Don’t worry.
Guy on radio: Calm down and stay at home until one unit of the emergency service gets there.
Credits: This Sunday, you won’t be the only one.

    Girl: How big is it?
    Guy: Almost 7 kilometres.

Girl: I’m sorry, I’m really tired. I’m going to bed.

EXTRATERRESTRIAL. A film by Nacho Vigalondo.

    Here you go ;) .

P.S.: Curious thing: the actress, Michelle Jenner, is the spanish voice of Hermione Granger in the first 4 Harry Potter movies.

    Is she a nympho ? ^^

Ok. After hearing it a few more times, she says: Sorry but I need to be alone (in spanish the pronounciation is some way similar). So there you have ;)
