After only a few episodes have aired, TNT is confident enough in the performance of its new sci-fi series Falling Skies from executive producer Steven Spielberg that the cable network has just decided to renew the series for a second season. The new order is for 10 episodes, which are expected to air next summer. For those who haven’t been watching, the series takes place in the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that has left most of the world completely incapacitated. Tom Mason (Wyle), a Boston history professor and the father of three sons, must put his extensive knowledge of military history to the test as second in command of a regiment of resistance fighters protecting a large group of civilian survivors. Good news for early fans of the sci-fi series, and if you haven’t gotten on the bandwagon yet, I suggest trying to catch-up in order to see what this show is all about.

I tried to get into it but the two episodes I saw bored me to tears.

Totally Agree.. it’s boring as hell with wooden uninspiring performances by all cast.. trying to be like The Walking Dead but trust me it’s not even close to 1% of the show The Walking Dead is.. TNT needs to rethink there decision or change the entire cast..

P.S The Harness kids in the shows have become the Rosie Larson’s murder case which can never be solved because they wanted the rating. Booooooo

I’ve watched the first two eps and concur entirely; the woodiness of these performances all across the board — with the exception of the horribly miscast Pauly Shore (yes, that’s right, THAT Pauly Shore) doesn’t bode well for the long life of this show. Effects are passable for TV fare, and I’ll hang with it for a few more shows to see if anything more develops; but the casting on this boat is horrible.

Pauly Shore is not in the cast of this show. I believe you’re referring to the actor playing the John Pope character, Colin Cunningham, who does bare a resemblance to Pauly S.

He does look like Pauly Shore but it’s not him. You should have spent 30 seconds looking that up before you made yourself look like an idiot.

I’ve been watching this show in the UK. 4 Episodes in and I really like it. The first 20 minutes of the pilot were boring to me but I’m really getting into the show, especially with discovering how ‘human’ these aliens actually are.
It’s not the best show ever but far better than V imo. Glad to hear it’s being renewed.

Love the show. If you find it boring then move on to something more to what you like. AKA Jersey Shore and dancing with the stars.

    I love the show…..

If you don’t like it simply move on to what you do like. AKA Jersey Shore and Dancing with the Stars.

The show isn’t that bad but i think they need to say “Ben” more.
