With interest in The First Avenger: Captain America running at a fever pitch as everyone is wondering who is going to play the iconic character, I thought you might enjoy taking a look at some fan made movie posters. I think the first one is really cool, I just wish I had a larger version to offer. With Captain America scheduled to begin filming at the end of June, we’ll know who is playing the role and day now. I like the first one best. If only we could get a guarantee that Johnston would put that kind of effort into the cinematography & mood of his war years.
Certainly any deviation from Private Ryan's realism is a step down from current cinema portrayal of that war.
A serious take at least on war footage would be a refreshing boost to confidence of the audience, elevating him far above what's ever been seen in comics – Brubaker or none.
now if only they could keep it all like the first poster. a bit of authentic world war two type stuff, and then a bit less of the cheesy captain america type stuff and this might end up being more than a comic book geek film and maybe even rival iron man

Especially the war time pic, and the shield pic. I like the main pic, but its a bit hard to make out with all the rain, also, he looks a lil skinny, but still very awesome!

other than the fact that the first one is using a Nazi solider… it is great.
I like the poster with the shield; understated, yet iconic.
Lastly – Joe Johnson did a great job with the period piece 'October Sky.' Give him a chance here. I agree the additional superheros might make it cumbersome for the second half of the movie and i am concerned about the lead being cast. That said, I trust the direction and the people in charge.
Please don't screw this one up.

Captain America costume looks okay – it’s tough to translate to the big screen.
