Hopefully you’re not sick of updates on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, because a few more have hit the Web. After debuting the first look at the lead characters, as well as descriptions of each and a plot synopsis, Entertainment Weekly has revealed information on some other prominent characters, the ones that will fuel this entire movie: the “fantastic beasts”!

EW admits that the full roster of creatures for Fantastic Beasts is still being finalized. That’s understandable, considering production is still going on, but the magazine states there’s a mixture of returning and never-before-seen animals hitting up the Harry Potter prequel. The one Eddie Remayne would actually talk about is one called a Niffler, which has a “wonderful love-hate relationship” with his character, magizoologist Newt Scamander. The treasure-hunting creature’s attraction to shiny things makes him “incredibly aggravating and wonderful at the same time.”

We’re also likely to see an Ashwinder, a pale serpent created from the embers of an unchecked magical fire; an Augery, a greenish “Irish Phoenix” whose call signals rain or your death; the stick-like creature called a Bowtruckle; a wizard-bred dog called a Crup; and the return of merpeople. One other of note is the Lethifold, which is considered a dark creature and is seen as a gliding cape. They are very similar to Dementors and can also be repelled by The Patronus Charm. Rowling already has an entire encyclopedia to pull from; the Fantastic Beasts book was released as a companion to the Harry Potter series, along with Quidditch Through the Ages. There’s probably a whole lot more where these creatures came from.

Newt comes to New York on a quest and brings with him a case filled with magical habitats containing extraordinary creatures. David Yates directs the film from a script by J.K. Rowling. The cast is rounded out by Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Colin Farrell, Ezra Miller, and Samantha Morton. If you want to know more about their characters, click here.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be released in theaters on November 18, 2016.
